Abstract:
To be launched in 2007, the PLANCK satellite placed at Lagrangian point L2 will be able to map the sky in 9 frequency channels from 30 to 850 GHz. The angular resolution will range respectively from 30 to 5 arcminutes. The sensitivity will be unprecedented, 10 mJy ($\delta T/T \simeq 2e-6$), at 100 GHz where the CMB is maximum.
