Important advances have been made in cosmology in
recent years to the extent that one now often invokes the term
"Standard Cosmological Model".
Although certainly premature to
speak of a precision-tested model, it is all the same appropriate
to speak of a relatively well-defined scenario for cosmic
evolution. The cosmological model is under rapid construction.
The spirit of the meeting will be to examine the status of
this effort: the observational and theoretical basis of the
model (historical perspective included), the current state of affairs
and future directions. In other words, what is accepted
as well-established, what needs to be tested and how do we expect
to do so.
At the start of the second century of modern cosmology,
what do we really mean today by "the cosmological model"?

Proceedings
The deadline for sending the manuscripts is: May 15, 2002
The speakers have to use the following 2 files to prepare the written version
of their talk under Latex:
moriond.tex (containing the publisher's instruction: it can be used as
a template. The result can be visualised on
moriond.ps),
and
moriond.sty (the style file).
The speakers should send their written contribution
to mcosmo@hep.saclay.cea.fr (possibly as a .tar.gz file - compressed tar)
(Christophe Magneville is coordinating the editing of the proceedings).
In case of problems with Latex send a mail to Jacques.Dumarchez@cern.ch.
