1) From Paris to Geneva by train (TGV)

Please note that reservations are compulsory for TGV trains.

From Geneva Train Station to Geneva Airport by train: 7 mn, every 15 minutes.

2) From Geneva Airport to La Thuile

a) Conference bus

departure from Geneva International Airport on Saturday March 12th:
The meeting point is on the arrival level at the desk Accueil France International (International Sector of Geneva airport - Tourist Information), which you will find just after passing passport control. The Moriond posters will help you to identify the point. The driver of the bus will meet you there 15 minutes before departure.

On saturday, March 12th

one bus will leave at 12 h 00 sharp
one bus will leave at 13 h 00 sharp
two buses will leave at 13 h 30 sharp
the last bus will leave at 15 h 30 sharp

Please note that, depending on your country of origin, you may need a transit visa to go through Switzerland on the way to Italy; if in doubt, check with your travel agent or consular service.

Return conference buses are scheduled to leave La Thuile on Saturday, March 19th at 13h00 sharp (after lunch) and will reach Geneva airport and then CERN (if requested) around 15h30, depending on the traffic.

b) By car

La Thuile can be easily reached by car from France: by the A40 highway to St Gervais, then by the E25 to Chamonix, Courmayeur and Pré Saint Didier and then turn right, direction to La Thuile via Strada Statale Valle d'Aosta (10 km). If chains are necessary, the sooner you put them on, the better.

The price for a taxi from La Thuile to Geneva Airport is approximately 250 euros for one person and 90 euros for a grouped shuttle (www.ats-italy.net).

3) Transfer to and from Milan Airport Malpensa

A transfer service is available every Saturday and Sunday.

Cost: 35 euros one way

There is no specific schedule. At least 6 days before the arrival or departure date, you should send the hotel in La Thuile (Hotel Planibel hotelplanibel@tivigest.com) all the details about your flight (the date, number of people, air company, flight number, time of arrival/departure in/from Malpensa) and your mobile phone number. La Thuile Transfer Service will then book the transfer depending on the time of arrival/departure of each guest's flight, so that nobody has to wait more than 1 hour at the airport, Terminal 1.

The price of a taxi from La Thuile to Milan Airport is approximately 335 euros for one person and 100 euros for a grouped shuttle.

MISCELLANEOUS

Ski and boot rental is available at the Hotel.

If you fly to Geneva or Milan airports and your luggage is missing on arrival, insist that your luggage be transferred directly to you by taxi to the Hotel Planibel in La Thuile when you make your claim for lost luggage.
